Minnie Mouse was created by The Walt Disney Company along with Mickey Mouse, as a replacement for Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, the company's previous star. Her first name was Minerva Mouse and she first appeared along with Mickey Mouse in "Plane Crazy" in 1928. She is invited to fly Mickey's aircraft. Though she accepts his invitation, she refuses to kiss him. In the end, Mickey tries to force Minnie to kiss him but she parachutes herself out of the plane.
